Narrative and functional design
967arch has been designing architecture, interiors, and product design for companies, private clients, and public institutions for 25 years. Founded in Milan by Cesare Chichi and Stefano Maestri, the studio brings together architects and designers with expertise across multiple project scales. Its artisanal, workshop-like approach is combined with the principles of a managerial production process, where management, costs, and timelines guide project development.
Each proposal is based on a narrative framework, intended as a logical foundation for every stylistic and identity-related choice. Simplicity, sobriety, and irony are the common thread running through all projects, where attention to detail and the search for new solutions define the design approach across tertiary, industrial, residential, and hospitality sectors.
The studio has developed buildings and workspaces for companies such as Accenture, Google, Petronas, Campari, Ferrero, Cisco, WPP, Amplifon, FC Internazionale, Villa d’Este, Rivenmoor, Partners Group, and Restoration Hardware, as well as residential buildings, hospitality projects, and outdoor spaces for both public and private clients.
It also collaborates with brands such as Davide Groppi, Dieffebi, DND, Las, MDF Italia, Poltrona Frau, Ritzwell, Saba, True Design, Luxy, and Molto Luce, designing exhibition and trade fair installations for some of them. 967arch also serves as creative director for Fim Umbrellas, Viganò & C., and the contract division of MDF Italia.
The studio actively supports and promotes cultural initiatives, including art exhibitions and events, providing both management and design services.
