The 34th Arab League Summit, officially known as the 34th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit Level, held on May 17th, 2025, in Baghdad, Iraq, featured 350 leather Charme chairs by Viganò & C., a recognized symbol of elegance, comfort, and Italian design applied to institutional and diplomatic settings.
Baghdad returned to the international stage by hosting a historic event at the prestigious Republican Palace within the Green Zone: the summit-level session of the League of Arab States, chaired by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, with the participation of 20 heads of state and government, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
The Charme chair, chosen for the event setup, stands out for its enveloping and refined design, enhanced by premium finishes and high-quality leather upholstery. Its soft and welcoming shell, combined with a solid structure, ensures maximum comfort even during prolonged sessions, making it ideal for executive environments, meeting rooms, and high-profile institutional settings. The project was carefully curated down to the last detail, reflecting the values of Italian design and Viganò & C.’s expertise in the international contract sector: “We are honored to have contributed, with our leather Charme chairs, to such a crucial diplomatic event for the Arab and global communities. This project confirms our brand’s international vocation in the high-end contract sector,” said Ivano Viganò, CEO of Viganò & C.
With this significant reference, Viganò & C. strengthens its presence in the Arab world and paves the way for new collaborations in the high-end institutional furnishings sector.
The Charme chairs are not just furniture – they are true instruments of representation, where design meets diplomacy. The project was carried out in partnership with Pico Total Brand Activation, under the direction of Mr. Khalid Ahmed Juman.
